Intespace performs all environmental and electrical certification testing of ARGOS transmitters and COSPAS-SARSAT distress beacons.
The French Space Agency, CNES and Intespace are accredited by COSPAS-SARSAT, French and European authorities and the US Coast Guard for certification testing of COSPAS-SARSAT for certification testing Beacon COSPAS-SARSAT by major international standards: C / O T. 001, RTCM, ETSI, EUROKAE, CIS, AMSA, TP / RSS).
The beacons are subjected to the full range of environmental stresses encountered in service and validate functional performance.
To ensure proper operation in case of distress beacon owners should take note of their responsibilities.
Testing lasts 4 to 5 weeks, ending with a test report leading to type approval COSPAS-SARSAT as well as national and international certification bodies (USCG, CEI, ETSI, and AMSA).
